Roping Competition

Free to compete! Test your roping skills on Saturday, March 14 at 2:45pm inside the Agriculture Discovery Center. Sign up takes place all day at the Demo Ring.
Three Divisions:
12 & under | 13 & over | Experienced
Winner is determined on elimination round(s). Top competitor in each division receives a grand champion banner and prizes provided by Morton Buildings!

Family Fun Corral

Saddle up for smiles at the Family Fun Corral at WNY Equifest sponsored by Purina. We're excited to bring back this hands-on-kid-friendly zone packed with horse-themed excitement for all ages. Make a craft, spin the trivia wheel, learn at the Equine Vet Station, or hop on the harness racing sulky simulator from Buffalo Raceway. Located inside the Agriculture Discovery Center.

Breed Meet & Greet

Meet the Stars of the Stable at Breed Meet & Greet! Get up close with a variety of horse breeds, from majestic draft horses to spirited ponies. Learn fun facts about each breed, ask questions, and snap a few photos with these incredible equine friends. Perfect for horse lovers of all ages! Located inside the Agriculture Discovery Center.

Scavenger Hunt

Go on the WNY Equifest Scavenger Hunt! Pick up your scavenger hunt sheet from the sign holders at each demonstration area and set off on a fun-filled adventure around WNY Equifest. Follow the clues, find the answers, and discover all the exciting demonstrations and activities along the way!

Breed Presentation

Catch the Breed Presentation at 12:15pm inside the Showplex. Sponsored by Boot Barn, this showcase highlights a stunning mix of horses from towering Belgians to pint-sized minis. Learn about each breed, see them in action, and discover what makes every horse unique!

Maple Demonstrations

See how maple syrup is made. Stop by the Maple Demonstrations each day from 10:00am-2:00pm and discover the sweet journey from sap to syrup. It's maple season so come and explore one of New York’s favorite traditions. Located inside the Agriculture Discovery Center.
