Festival Tips

WNY Immediate Care
  • Bundle up! Wear a hat, hood, or scarf to the Festival of Lights, as most heat is lost through the head. Wear layers, as they provide better insulation and warmth. Keep fingertips, earlobes, and noses covered when outside. Keep clothing dry, and if a layer becomes wet, remove it.
  • Turn your lights down. For a better experience driving through the light displays, use your parking lights only to let the light displays shine!
  • Tune in to 1620 AM! Listen to the Festival of Lights Ho Ho Radio for music and holiday messages.
  • Wash your hands! It is recommended that you wash your hands before and after preparing and eating food, touching a surface that is frequently touched by other people (such as door handles), or entering or leaving a public place. Always wash your hands after using the toilet, changing a diaper, or cleaning up a child who has used the toilet, touching an animal, blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing, or handling garbage. Restrooms are located inside the Ag-Grange Building, Expo Hall and the Winter Wonderland Workshop.
  • Slower is safer! As you enjoy the Festival of Lights drive-thru, please be considerate of your speed. Keep a safe distance and do not tailgate other festivalgoers. Take road and weather conditions into consideration as you drive through the displays.
  • Cover your cough! To prevent the spread of germs and sickness, use a tissue to cover your cough, sneeze, or into your upper sleeve. Then wash your hands.
  • Establish a safe spot. Before entering the Festival of Lights walk-about, consider selecting a safe spot for your family in case anyone gets lost. Lost child? Call our staff at 716-649-3007.
  • Protect yourself! Consider getting vaccines for common winter illnesses including the flu, COVID-19, and RSV. Vaccines appointments can be made at any WNY Immediate Care.
  • Emergency? Call 9-1-1. Tell the dispatcher that you are at the Hamburg Fairgrounds.
  • Vehicle-related issue? Please pull safely to the side and call 716-649-3007 for assistance.
  • Share your photos! We would love for you to share your photo memories with us. Include #HamburgLights in your posts and you may be re-shared by the Festival of Lights and Erie County Fair social pages!
