RULES

1. Show is open to all states plus Canada (Open to exhibitors of all ages).

2. All hogs (excluding purebred breeding gilts) will show by weight. Purebred breeding gilts will show by age.

3. Market lambs and goats will show by weight.

4. Purebred gilts & purebred barrows—Any breed with at least 6 entries will have their own breed show, otherwise will how in AOB.

5. Registration papers are required for all purebred hogs.

6. All market hogs and purebred barrows must not weight more than 290 lbs., all crossbred breeding gilts must not weight more than 325 lbs.

7. All breeding gilts must be born after December 1 of the previous year.

8. Hog exhibitors will be responsible to weigh their own hogs and submit the weight cards during the appropriate times. The top 3 hogs in each class will be weighed back in the ring. Hogs that weigh more or less than the 15 pound weigh back will be disqualified. **Failure to hand in weight card will result in disqualification.**

9. Lamb & Goat exhibitors will be responsible to weight their own animals and submit the weight cards during the appropriate times. The top 3 lambs and goats in each class will be weighed back in the ring. Animals that weigh more or less than the 5 pound weigh back will be disqualified. **Failure to hand in weight card will result in disqualification.**

10. Weight cards must be turned in during designated check-in times ONLY. All weight cards MUST be signed off by show staff.

11. All market lambs and goats must be born after December 1 of the previous year.

12. IAFE Code of Showring Ethics will apply.

13. All entries are final, no refunds under any circumstance.

14. All lambs and goats will be inspected for prolapses, fungus, sore mouth, ringworm, foot rot and pinkeye. Any lamb that has visible signs of any of the above will be disqualified from the show.

15. All animals must have a metal ear tag, legible tattoo, ear notch or scrapie tag.

16. No reserving of pens will be allowed. If signs/shavings are in/on pens without animals in them, they will be removed by show staff.

17. No scooters or bikes are permitted on the property.

18. No tack pens, please plan to put your items in the aisles or on the back of your pen.

19. Showmanship ages: PeeWee 3-8 years, Junior 9-12 years, Intermediate 13-16 years and Senior 17-21 years. Ages as of January 1st, 2019

20. Hogs may change division from Hog Show #1 to Hog Show #2, however MUST show only 1 division per show.

21. All hogs and lambs MUST be stalled in the designated barns.

 

HEALTH REGULATIONS

NEW YORK AND OUT-OF-STATE ANIMALS

All animals for exhibition must be accompanied by a health certificate with positive individual identification signed by an accredited veterinarian that states the animal is free of all communicable diseases.

*All health certificates MUST state that all hogs have been vaccinated for Swine Flu.*
